The in-person figures already include travel, so there's no surprise line added later. Two siblings taught back to back on the same visit carry travel once, which puts the second hour at the online rate. Intensive summer courses for 11+ are booked as a block; ask and I'll quote.
Founder & tutor
Hi, I'm Sarujan. I'm a final-year Electronic Engineering student at the University of Manchester with three years of tutoring behind me, running Charge Up Tutors.
I teach GCSE sciences, A‑level maths and physics, and 11+ preparation, including intensive courses over the summer.
Mechanics, calculus and electricity aren't revision topics for me. They're the maths I used this summer on a placement with National Grid, working on subsea cable design for an HVDC link between Scotland and England.
That matters at A‑level more than it sounds. When a student asks why they're integrating something, I can tell them where it actually goes, which holds attention better than "it's on the spec".
I build my own worksheets rather than handing out past papers alone, and I mark written work between sessions so the hour we have goes on the parts that went wrong. Most of my students are on AQA or OCR.
Every review below is from a student or parent I've actually taught. Grades are theirs, not mine.

GCSE maths, chemistry and physics, all in one sitting
"I personally found the experience great. It cleared up many of my doubts, especially in physics, and addressed my main weaknesses. Every time I had a doubt, it was thoroughly covered.
Sarujan's method of teaching was also excellent. He didn't just dive deep into my physics doubts, he also took the time to understand how I work and learn as a person. This helped me change my study habits and my overall approach to learning. When I joined, I was working at a D grade, but by exam season I was achieving a high A."
A‑level student
"Great tutors, especially Sarujan, who has helped my son get a 9 in maths and science. Thank you, you really turned him around from getting a 4 in his mocks to that 😁"
Parent
"I was really struggling with maths, chemistry and physics before I started with Sarujan. He's such a good teacher and always made sure I understood everything before moving on. I ended up getting grade 8s in all three subjects, I couldn't believe it!"
GCSE student
"Sarujan is an amazing tutor! He makes difficult topics really clear and gives great practice questions. I feel so much more confident in both maths and physics now. Highly recommend!"
A‑level student
"He was a great tutor, helped me go through my A‑levels and explained problems logically."
